Abraham van Strij (I): Portrait of Hendrik Weymans and his family (1816)

A painting by the Dutch artist Abraham van Strij (I) (1753-1826). Depicted is the Weymans family, a wealthy family from the town of Dordrecht, in their country estate ' Kilwijk'. The man on the left is the 56 year old Hendrik Weymans ( 1760 - 1831), director of the artist society ' Pictura' from Dordrecht, although looks much younger here. Abraham van Strij (I) founded the artist society ' Pictura' and both he and his brother Jacob van Strij (1756-1815) were members of this societyand were friend of Hendrik. Depicted from left to right:

- Willem Weymans (1790 - 1822), son of Hendrik Weymans and Elisabeth Logger
- Elisabeth Weymans (1812 - 1831), daughter of Willem Weymans and Maria Meertens
- Elisabeth Logger (?- after 1831), married with Hendrik Weymans
- Pieter Weymans (1813 - 1836), son of Willem Weymans and Maria Meertens
- Hendrika Catharina Weymans (1816 - 1895), daughter of Willem Weymans and Maria Meertens
- Maria Catharina Meertens (1792- 1873), married with Willem Weymans
